To use Google Workspace instead of your current email provider, create a Google Workspace account to manage your email through a custom Gmail account. If you’re using a Squarespace domain, you can also keep using a third-party email service by adding your email's MX records to your domain settings.
We recommend contacting your email provider for help editing these records. If your email provider asked you to use their default nameservers instead of your domain provider’s, use the email provider's DNS records to connect your domain to Squarespace. Note: Your email provider might be different than your domain provider. Connecting your domain to Squarespace only involves changes to CNAME and A records, so if your domain provider also hosts your email, there’s no need to adjust your nameservers or MX records. To keep using your current email provider, you can still connect a third-party domain to Squarespace without disrupting your email service.

The integration lets you manage Google Workspace billing within your own site, plus get access to Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. If you'd like to use Google Workspace instead of your current email provider, you can make this switch within your site's settings.If you want to keep using your current email service, you can do so, and it won't affect the way your site functions.This guide explains both options, which will work whether you’re using a third-party domain or a Squarespace domain. For example, if your site is your email address might be you already have email associated with a custom domain you're using with Squarespace, you can keep using it with your current email host or migrate it to Google Workspace. Next, enter your HostGator Login and Password. Simply click the "change outgoing settings" button and select the "other" option at the bottom of the "email provider" drop-down. You'll follow the same steps to connect your Outgoing Email Server as you did to connect your incoming email. IMAP Server: Your server name found previously in your HostGator welcome email or cPanel. HostGator Shared hosting customers can also find the server name listed inside of the HostGator cPanel. To find this, check your HostGator welcome email. You will then need to get your specific server name from HostGator. The Incoming Email Connection is listed first on your page: To sync your incoming email, first navigate to Account Settings > Email Settings. Once you've verified your email account is set up with IMAP settings you can connect your Incoming and Outgoing Email. IMAP servers on the other hand, do have a saved copy, so you can open/access the e-mails from anywhere/multiple times. Meaning, if you open the e-mail on your phone, there is not a saved copy of the e-mail anywhere else, so you will have difficulty pulling the same e-mail elsewhere (like a computer or tablet). The main difference between the two, is that POP servers will not save a copy of each message.
If your email is POP only, we will be unable to establish a connection as POP servers were the first e-mail protocol created in the 80's and have now become outdated. In order to connect, your email provider must use IMAP email addresses. Connecting your email address will allow 17hats to record your correspondences with contacts whether you choose to send the messages through our platform or your regular email inbox.
